Forum Topic: Doxycycline Hyclate vs. Doxycycline Capsules vs. Moxiflucan
Hi everyone! Ive been on Doxycycline Hyclate for a while now. My doctor prescribed me Moxiflucan twice a day. It has been a great experience to see my skin get back to its normal state and I feel better already. Can anyone recommend the best place to take this medication? Also, how do I keep my skin hydrated? Ive been on it for a long time now and still have a lot of sunburn symptoms. Thanks so much!
Hi Dr. Emily,
Thank you for reaching out. Ive been on the meds for a long time now and have been looking for a different approach to the treatment of acne. Ive started using Moxiflucan as a second treatment and it has worked out well in my case. However, I have had some side effects and I dont want to take my meds anymore! Ive been considering trying different options such as the Doxycycline Hyclate (DoxyCaps), Moxiflucan (Moxiflucan), and Doxycycline Capsules, but Ive found that these can be a bit expensive but they are affordable options. Ive noticed some success with the DoxyCaps but it has a longer duration of action than the other options.
Ive looked at the other options but they all seem to be more expensive. I think the generic options might work better for you as well, however it's not a great choice if you have moderate acne and your acne is severe or if you have other underlying health conditions.
Ive seen other doctors that prescribe them for minor issues like dry eyes, acne, and even some mild skin problems that may improve within a few months. If you have more questions or need more information about Moxiflucan or any other acne treatments, please feel free to ask!
Hello Dr.
I have been on the meds for a while now and I am still looking for a different approach to my skin. The good thing is that Ive started taking it as a 2nd line treatment, which works in my case as well as in my insurance. However, the bad thing is that I do not have any insurance coverage for it (I have been on Moxiflucan for a while).
Thanks so much for your time!
Youre welcome!
Best wishes,
Dr. Emily
